Job Description

This role involves investigating complex, represented claims, including uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi-car accidents, as well as moderate or major claims. The individual may also handle complex CPL claims or specialized claims such as business interruption, loss of income, or E&O policies. Responsibilities include taking recorded statements, resolving loss of use claims, making payments, and negotiating or referring bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Customer Service Expert: Demonstrate compassion, clarity, and partnership in claims handling, leading with empathy.
2. The Investigator: Independently investigate claims by reviewing damages and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
3. The Effective Communicator: Use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through a fast, fair, and transparent claims process.
4. The Negotiator: Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, and third parties, employing effective tactics.
5. The Problem Solver: Utilize various tools and critical thinking skills to efficiently handle claims in a fast-paced environment.
6. The Recorder: Ensure accurate documentation and execute policies to protect the company financially.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of 3rd Party Bodily Injury claims handling experience.
• 2-5 years of GA claims experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficient in communication, especially over the phone.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with good time management.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and liability.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with claims evaluation tools and platforms.

Remote Work Details

This is a permanent remote role within the U.S., excluding California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Requirements include a dedicated home office, minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up, and appropriate workspace. Allstate provides equipment and internet reimbursement of $80/month.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $50,000 to $82,542.50, based on experience and qualifications.
