NeighborImpact is seeking a Representative Payee Advocate in Redmond, OR. You will handle direct client assistance and referrals while ensuring SSA compliance and beneficiary welfare. The role supports the NeighborImpact mission across Central Oregon.

The position emphasizes client service, data accuracy, and collaboration with the NeighborImpact team to deliver program benefits and information.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of experience in Representative Payee, Social Services, Case Management, Financial Management, SSA processes, or related field.
• 3 years of experience with data entry and data management.
• Must be certified in ORCHARDS (Oregon Criminal History and Abuse Records Data System).
• Oregon Health Plan Assistor certification within first year of employment.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client assistance and referrals to NeighborImpact programs.
• Deliver Representative Payee services in accordance with SSA requirements and beneficiaries’ best interests.
• Represent NeighborImpact at community events and meetings, supporting the team and mission.

Do you have experience with client services? Do you have a passion for helping people? Well, NeighborImpact is looking for a Representative Payee Advocate! This position provides direct client assistance managing Social Security benefits in each beneficiary's best interest, along with information and referrals to other NeighborImpact programs throughout Central Oregon.

Location: Redmond

Compensation: $24.51/hour (Plus $0.50/hour for Spanish Bilingual ability)

Hours: 30 hours/week,

Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 2 weeks of vacation time accrued in your first year, plus 14 paid Holidays annually, and a separate sick leave accrual

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

This position provides both direct client assistance and referrals to NeighborImpact programs throughout Central Oregon. The Representative Payee Advocate delivers Representative Payee services to clients as part of the Representative Payee Team, ensuring benefits are managed in accordance with Social Security Administration requirements and in the best interest of each beneficiary. This position also provides information and referrals to people seeking assistance from other NeighborImpact programs, represents NeighborImpact at selected community events and meetings, and is an essential part of the team working to advance the mission and demonstrate our core values.

Requirements

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3 years of experience in either Representative Payee, Social Services, Case Management, Financial Management, Social Security processes, or a related field, required.
• 3 years of experience with data entry and data management required.
• Ability to be certified in ORCHARDS (Oregon Criminal History and Abuse Records Data System)
• Oregon Health Plan Assistor certification required within first year of employment
• Intermediate computer skills required, including working knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment:

1. Valid driver’s license
2. Proof of current auto insurance
3. Access to reliable transportation
4. Satisfactory criminal background check
5. Satisfactory motor vehicle records check

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree preferred
• Bilingual language skills preferred
• Knowledge of Social Security representative payee requirements, including basic beneficiary fund management rules and recordkeeping expectations, preferred
• Traditional or Community Health Worker certification preferred
• Knowledge of NeighborImpact programs preferred
