Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking an HR Representative to process HR information, onboard new hires, and support recruitment activities. You will explain benefits and maintain accurate records while collaborating with teams across the organization.

The role requires 2+ years of HR or payroll experience, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and strong English communication. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits after 60 days and growth opportunities within a nationwide

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an HR or payroll role.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform tasks safely and effectively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build relationships.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Processes non-exempt HR information weekly, including change forms and vacation requests.
• Completes onboarding and new hire processes.
• Assists recruitment efforts, job fairs, and related activities.
• Explains benefits, policies, and procedures to employees.
• Maintains files and records; scans and indexes employment data.
• May handle Time and Labor for Warehouse/Driver payroll.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay rate: $23.00 up to $26.00 per hour.
• Monday through Friday. Standard start time 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. Flexibility night shifts up to 2 times a month.

What you’ll do as an HR Representative:

• Processes non-exempt HR information each week including change forms, vacation requests, and corrections.
• Completes all necessary on-boarding and new hire processes.
• Assists team with recruitment efforts, job fairs, etc.
• Explains benefits, policies and procedures.
• Maintains files and records.
• Scans and indexes employment data.
• May also handle Time and Labor for Warehouse and/or Driver Payroll.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as an HR Representative:

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• 2 or more years of experience in an HR or payroll role is required.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
