Job summary

Amherst Central Schools is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Special Education at Smallwood Drive School. This role is 30 hours per week, with start date as soon as possible, and a starting wage of $19.50 per hour plus credit-hour reimbursement where applicable.

Duties include assisting with routine classroom tasks, supporting the teacher, and completing required paperwork. Candidates should hold TA or NYS certification or be pursuing certification.

Qualifications

• Must have Teaching Assistant Certification or NYS Teacher Certification, or be working towards either.
• Experience working with elementary students (K-5) preferred.

• Support the teacher and assume classroom responsibilities as needed.
