The Ascendancy Group seeks a Reports Officer to provide substantive review of intelligence content, verify facts, and ensure publications meet editorial and audience needs. This full-time role requires TS/SCI clearance and extensive experience in IC analytic tradecraft, with the ability to work independently and deliver concise, well-supported assessments.

Responsibilities include fact-checking, ensuring consistency across figures and text, editing for clarity, and coordinating with IC partners

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience related to this labor category, with a portion in the last 2 years, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Working knowledge of IC analytic tradecraft standards (ICD 203 and the ICD 200 series).
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Ability to draw understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, or technically advanced.
• Ability to collaborate with IC partners on information sharing, driving collection, and resolving analytic disputes.
• Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise reports, assessments, and briefing materials using Microsoft Office tools.

Employment type Full time; contingent upon contract award.

Security Requirement

Current Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Requirements

Required:

• Working knowledge of IC analytic tradecraft standards (ICD 203 and the ICD 200 series).
• Comprehensive mission knowledge and completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Ability to draw understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, or technically advanced.
• Ability to collaborate with IC partners on information sharing, driving collection, and resolving analytic disputes.
• Ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
• Ability to lead or guide teams researching multifaceted or critical problems.
• Knowledge of IC and DoW classification guidelines and procedures, and the ability to apply them.
• Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise reports, assessments, and briefing materials using Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with strong grammar skills.

Desired:

• Experience supporting Joint or special operations organizations.
• Ability to work independently with limited government oversight and function effectively as part of a team in a joint environment.
• Experience in a deployed environment.
