Job summary

KPG99 INC is seeking a Reports Developer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and BI reports using Tableau and MicroStrategy in a Charlotte, NC environment. You will work with GCP Big Data tools, SQL data modeling, and CI/CD practices to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with Big Data, cloud platforms, and strong SQL. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on software development experience with Big Data & Analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and database systems, with experience in designing and optimizing data models for performance and scalability.
• Design and development experience with Git, Jenkins.
• Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms & relational databases.
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills and design patterns.
• Experience with CICD pipelines, Automated test frameworks, and source code management tools (XLR, Jenkins, Git).
• Good knowledge and experience with configuration management tools like GitHub.
• Ability to analyze complex data engineering problems, propose effective solutions, and implement them effectively.
• Ability and willingness to learn, adopt and build solutions using the Enterprise frameworks established for Big Data
• Looks proactively beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Communicates effectively with product and cross functional team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and leverage them to their optimal potential.
• Understanding of various SDLC methodologies, familiarity with Agile & scrum ceremonies.
• Certifications in cloud platform (GCP Professional Data Engineer) is a plus.
• Provide engineering expertise to the team for developing features for Banking including Financial Crimes, Anti-money Laundering platforms
• Improve engineering practices, including driving resilience, predictability, and end efficiency through automation
• Partner with product teams to envision and deliver solutions which transform Financial Crimes Compliance using technology
• Strong expertise in MicroStrategy/Strategy One – reports, dossiers, dashboards, documents, metrics, attributes, prompts, filters, and subscriptions.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in relational databases and Cloud (GCP) data warehouses.
• Experience in report development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience supporting on-premises and cloud/CMC MicroStrategy environments.
• Knowledge of security configurations, APIs, administration, migrations, and production support.
• Experience with MicroStrategy Cloud/CMC and AI-enabled analytics is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Cloud.
• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, and filters.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, and cloud database knowledge.
• Experience with data integration, cleansing, blending, and validation.
• Expertise in dashboard performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Tableau administration, security, permissions, scheduling, and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for large-scale data processing using Big Data and GCP technologies.
• Develop and optimize Tableau and MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with product teams to deliver Banking/Financial Crimes features and analytics.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated tests; support Git, Jenkins, and GitHub workflows.
• Build robust data models, optimize SQL queries, and ensure data quality across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Provide engineering expertise to enterprise frameworks for Big Data initiatives.
• Mentor peers on best practices in data engineering and BI reporting.
