Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Tableau Developer to design and implement interactive dashboards and data pipelines in a Big Data environment.

You will work onsite in Charlotte, collaborating cross-functionally to transform banking and analytics use cases using GCP technologies, SQL, and Tableau administration. Strong experience with BigQuery, Airflow, DataProc, PubSub, and ETL concepts is required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on development experience with Big Data & Analytics solutions.
• Experience with GCP technologies: BigQuery, Airflow, DataProc, PubSub, Hadoop Hive, Spark, Python, shell scripting.
• Strong SQL and data modeling for performance and scalability.
• Design and development experience with Git, Jenkins.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, relational databases, and OOP patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for large-scale processing using Big Data and GCP technologies.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau and related tooling.
• Collaborate with product teams and cross-functional partners to deliver data-centric solutions.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of data models and pipelines.
• Participate in SDLC and Agile/Scrum ceremonies; contribute to automation and testing.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and source control practices to improve delivery.

Job Description:

BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

GCP Cloud - Big Query, Airflow, DataProc, PubSub, Hadoop Hive, Spark, Python, shell scripting,

Strong experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale data processing, transformation, and analysis using Big Data and GCP technologies.

Proficiency in SQL and database systems, with experience in designing and optimizing data models for performance and scalability.

Design and development experience with Git, Jenkins.

Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms & relational databases.

Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills and design patterns.

Experience with CICD pipelines, Automated test frameworks, and source code management tools (XLR, Jenkins, Git).

Good knowledge and experience with configuration management tools like GitHub

Ability to analyze complex data engineering problems, propose effective solutions, and implement them effectively.

Ability and willingness to learn, adopt and build solutions using the Enterprise frameworks established for Big Data

Provide engineering expertise to the team for developing features for Banking including Financial Crimes, Anti-money Laundering platforms

Improve engineering practices, including driving resilience, predictability, and end efficiency through automation

Partner with product teams to envision and deliver solutions which transform Financial Crimes Compliance using technology

Technical Summary

Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Server, and Cloud.

Develop interactive dashboards, reports, visualizations, calculated fields, parameters, and filters.

Strong SQL, data modeling, ETL, and cloud database knowledge.

Experience with data integration, cleansing, blending, and validation.

Expertise in dashboard performance optimization and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of Tableau administration, security, permissions, scheduling, and deployments.
