Job summary

Onterris, Inc. is seeking a Reporting QC Specialist II in Santa Ana, CA, to accurately calculate and validate stack testing results using spreadsheets and handwritten records.

You will own from-scratch reporting for stack testing programs, cite tolerances, and prepare protocols and test reports in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or related field preferred; high school diploma acceptable with demonstrated skills.
  • 3+ years of technical writing experience and ability to document stack testing programs clearly.
  • 3+ years of experience with air test methods, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Field testing experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Write and assemble documents such as test protocols or test reports using templates, following style guides and SOPs.
  • Cite tolerances (e.g., 3A, 7E, 10, RA%) using reference methods and applicable standards.
  • Prepare from-scratch reporting for stack testing programs and understand regional tests and regulations.
  • Prepare ERT without an explicit ERT plan or reference document.
  • Calculate test results using spreadsheets and handwritten forms.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as needed.

A successful Reporting QC Specialist II independently completes stack testing calculations while ensuring data quality and compliance with established standards.The compensation range for this role is $24.00 to $30.00 per hour.To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:* Writing and assembling documents such as test protocols or test reports using templates, following style guides and SOPs* Citing tolerances for these, e.g. 3A, 7E, 10, RA% using reference methods and applicable standards* Reporting QC Specialists II are successful at “from scratch reporting” of stack testing programs, and they are knowledgeable about regional tests and regulations* Preparing ERT without an ERT test plan or reference document* Calculating test results using spreadsheets and handwritten forms* Performing various clerical work where needed# Your Expertise and SkillsThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision* Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or related field preferred. High School diploma is acceptable where writing/math/other skills can be demonstrated* Ability to identify and investigate anomalies in data, such as inconsistent or suspect results, outlying run results, suspect handwritten data, etc., and escalate to other specialists or managers where necessary. Can independently resolve most anomalies and when encountering new tests, methods, etc. can extrapolate based on previous similar experiences* 3+ years technical writing experience* 3+ years of experience with air test methods, permits, and regulatory requirements* Field testing experience is beneficial* Intermediate user of cloud-based platforms (ex. Google Workspace), Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel & Word), and PDF editing software* Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening# Work Environment and Physical RequirementsThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
