Job summary

Bennett Recruiting Services in Los Angeles is seeking a finance-focused professional to support our alternative investment consulting and research team.

You will collect and reconcile client/fund cash transactions for private vehicles, update valuations, track investments, and maintain fund data in accounting systems. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 2–3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, and other Microsoft programs.
• Must be detail oriented, be able to meet tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills.
• The position is located in the Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities

• Collect & reconcile client/fund cash contributions and distributions for private vehicles quarterly.
• Update monthly/quarterly valuations and reconcile to statements.
• Refresh fund holdings/exposure monthly and quarterly.
• Track new investments and coordinate with research to update fund data.
• Maintain fund data in accounting/reporting databases.
• Support ad hoc performance projects.

This role will be working on a team who focus on alternative investment consulting and research services.

• Collection of and reconciliation of client/fund cash contribution and distribution transactions for private investment vehicles including limited partnerships, private BDCs, and private CLOs through email correspondence and partnership reports on a quarterly basis.
• Update monthly and quarterly investment valuations and reconcile all balances back to investment account statements.
• Update underlying fund holding/exposure information on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Track new investment commitments and work with the research groups to collect and update all relevant fund information.
• Maintenance of fund data in accounting and reporting databases
• Ad hoc performance related projects
