Job summary

The Bachrach Group is seeking an Accounting Analyst for our premier client, a Houston-based investment advisor, to support operations, financial reporting, and strategic initiatives.

You will work closely with senior leadership across business units and private fund operations, performing journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close processes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, 1–3 years of experience, and strong analytical and communication skills, with CPA as a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, fund accounting, or audit.
  • CPA license is a major plus.
  • Financial services background is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Bloomberg, EZE OMS, NetSuite, or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and under pressure.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform journal entries and reconciliations for monthly close across subsidiaries
  • Support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate reporting
  • Prepare monthly internal reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Collaborate with third-party providers (audit, tax, fund administration)
  • Review P&L and balance sheets with CFO; support strategic planning
  • Manage shared services operations (AP, AR, cash collections)
  • Drive process improvement and automation using NetSuite and Salesforce
  • Assist with fund-level cash movements, investor reporting, and NAV calculations
  • Support senior executive leadership in launching new investment products
  • Provide data for investor relations, due diligence, and performance updates
  • Maintain trading activity records and support middle-office operations
