Nexstar Media Group, Inc. is seeking a trustworthy and creative Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) for KFOR-TV/KAUT-TV in Oklahoma City.

The MMJ will craft compelling stories for broadcast, digital, social and streaming platforms, delivering content with a positive attitude in a fast-paced newsroom. The ideal candidate has strong writing, shooting, and editing skills, is comfortable live on-air, and can manage multiple assignments while adapting to new digital tools and platforms.

PURPOSE/REASON FOR THE POSITION:

KFOR-TV/KAUT-TV is looking for a trustworthy and creative Multimedia Journalist who thrives in a content-first newsroom. We are looking for a curious and motivated MMJ who can deliver compelling content on broadcast, digital, social and streaming platforms, while bringing a positive attitude to the job each day. We are a team-oriented newsroom. We work together to deliver impactful journalism that serves the people of Oklahoma.

Oklahoma City is a rapidly growing and vibrant community. The Bricktown area is packed with restaurants/bars and is adjacent to the home of the Oklahoma City Thunder! The RIVERSPORT Adventure center is located on the Oklahoma river and features kayaking, whitewater rafting and ziplining. Additionally, in 2028 Oklahoma City will be hosting multiple Olympic events in two separate sports! You can cover the Olympics in the Heartland! PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field-or equivalent experience.
• Strong writing, shooting and editing skills; confident live performance.
• Ability to work efficiently, meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple assignments.
• Comfort working across platforms and adopting new digital tools.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as news demands.
• Must include a link to online reel when applying in order to be considered.
