The position is available for work within the United States except from the following states: AZ,CA,CO,MD,MA,MI,MO,NJ,NV,NM,NY,OR,RI,VT,WA, and WASHINGTON, D.C. State locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift.

Position Summary

The Report Writer position is responsible for creating data sets out of the system of record and providing that information to decision makers. The Report Writer I will focus on building data sets for Operations that can lead to informed decisions through data. They build and automate key reports out of the system of record.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all reporting tasks across all locations.
  • Responsible for creating data sets (both automated and one-off) out of the system of record.
  • Responsible for regular vendor system quality checks, reporting and system maintenance to support ongoing business needs.
  • Collaborate with management, business analysts, and internal stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
  • Employ excellent customer service, effective relationship management, teamwork, project management and conflict resolution skills during all assignments.
  • Work closely with managers to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.
  • Write DAX queries and calculations to enhance report functionality.
  • Optimize report performance and data models for scalability and efficiency.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reports.
  • Provide documentation and training to end users on Power BI tools and dashboards.
  • Maintain and support existing reports, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
  • Stay up to date with Power BI updates, features, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working hours: Flexible Work Schedule, Monday – Friday

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma required
  • Demonstrated Competency with SQL including a strong ability to understand and write SQL code.
  • Previous Experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Power BI
  • 1+ years’ experience in an IS or Data Analyst related position preferred
  • College degree preferred

  • Advanced understanding and demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, in particular)
