Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Vice President to lead Repo Collateral Management in New York. The role directs daily collateral operations, risk controls, and technology enhancements to support financing and liquidity objectives.

Work with Treasury, Trading, Risk, Legal, and Technology to implement strategic collateral initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee cross-functional projects essential to firm-wide collateral strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily collateral margin calls, substitutions, and settlement for bilateral, tri-party and Sponsored Repo
• Lead and develop the Repo Collateral Management Team, setting goals and performance standards
• Drive initiatives to enhance collateral optimization, funding efficiency, and operational resilience
• Collaborate with Treasury, Trading, Risk, Legal, and Technology to align collateral strategies with firm objectives
• Ensure robust controls and timely resolution of breaks, discrepancies, and settlement issues
• Escalate discrepancies to relevant internal/external parties
• Assist in ad-hoc requests related to management and investigations of operational issues
• Assist in monitoring process gaps and recommend tech changes
• Participate in projects related to industry initiatives and operational efficiencies
• Manage cross-functional projects and drive change
• Ensure collateral management practices comply with regulatory requirements (SFTR, Basel III/IV, SEC rules)
• Oversee risk related to collateral concentration, haircuts, margin requirements, and counterparty exposure
• Act as liaison with external counterparties, custodians, clearing banks, and regulators
• Communicate collateral risks and performance to senior management
• Support new product launches requiring collateral expertise
• Partner with Tech and Operations to enhance collateral management system capabilities

Job description

The Repo Collateral Management - Vice President leads the firm’s collateral management function for repurchase agreements, driving strategic initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance. The VP oversees the team managing daily collateral operations, risk controls, and technology enhancements, partnering closely with Trading, Risk, Treasury, and Legal to support the firm’s financing and liquidity objectives.

Role Objectives

Collateral Operations Oversight

• Oversee daily collateral margin calls, substitutions, and settlement for bilateral, tri-party and Sponsored Repo.
• Lead and help develop the Repo Collateral Management Team, setting goals, priorities and performance standards.
• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance collateral optimization, funding efficiency, and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Trading, Risk, Legal, and Technology to align collateral strategies with firm-wide objectives.
• Ensure robust controls and timely resolution of breaks, discrepancies, and settlement issues.
• Escalate discrepancies appropriately to the relevant internal and/or external parties.
• Assist in ad-hoc requests related to management and investigations of operational issues.
• Assist in monitoring process gaps and make recommendations on technological changes.
