Job description

Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

A rapidly growing health club chain, currently with 50+ locations across New England and based in Franklin, MA, is looking to hire a full-time General Maintenance Technician to join our fantastic maintenance department. Starting rate is $18 per hour (rate will be determined based on experience) with excellent benefits including employer-contributing health and dental, employer matching 401K, and mileage reimbursement.

Duties include:

1. Painting
2. Equipment and facility repairs
3. Some heavy lifting
4. Cleaning

This job will be based out of our Franklin, MA location for weekly dispatch, and traveling will be necessary across a territory of several clubs.

Qualifications:

• Each week starts in Franklin, MA for team meeting and gathering of anticipated supply needs
• Company vehicle supplied after an observation period
• Valid Driver's License required
• Hours are 8 am – 4 pm (overtime and weekends may be available and/or required)
• Painting experience preferred
• Team player, organized, energetic, clean
• Experience in facilities maintenance preferred
• Have working knowledge in one or all of the following: roofing, mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and/or painting preferred
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot facility and equipment-related issues
• Self-directed
• Possess a sense of urgency and can meet deadlines
• Demonstrate effective verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely
• Basic computer skills desired for updating ticketing system and communicating with team members
