Position Summary

Performs duties related to company operations and maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of facilities and equipment, with minimal supervision.

Primary Duties:
  • Understand the function, location, and operation of station valves and mainline block valves. Lubricate valves per guidelines. Know valve numbers on station and mainline valves.
  • Conduct routine inspections of station equipment, piping, and valves; report issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing compressor valves, spark plugs, fuel hoses, and igniters.
  • Assist in compressor overhauls.
  • Know the Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system’s function, operation, and location.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Operate forklifts, tractors, and other equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools, including paint spray equipment, following procedures.
  • Paint piping, equipment, and facilities.
  • Operate equipment used for pipeline work.
  • Assist during pipeline shutdowns.
  • Perform leakage surveys and operate detection equipment.
  • Install and maintain pipeline markers.
  • Investigate aerial patrol reports, communicate with patrol pilots, and relay reports.
  • Investigate encroachments, complete reports, and ensure compliance during line crossings.
  • Maintain and repair pipeline right-of-way.
  • Identify pipelines using location tools and measurements.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license; operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including heavy lifting and working in extreme temperatures.
  • Strong mechanical skills; knowledge of engines, motors, compressors, valves, and pipeline equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics, drawings, and procedures.
  • Reside within 50 miles of the job location.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent driving, walking, and standing.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to materials, chemicals, extreme temperatures, loud machinery; use of PPE required.
  • Subject to call-out during off-hours, including weekends.
  • Up to 5% travel required.
