Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data.
Specializing in aircraft parts with the responsibility for machining components to exact specifications, ensuring the highest standards of precision, quality, and safety. Utilizing advanced CNC equipment to produce, inspect, and maintain critical aerospace parts, adhering to strict technical specifications and quality requirements. Plays a vital role in maintaining compliance with industry standards while meeting safety and delivery objectives. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC equipment, such as vertical and horizontal milling machines, to achieve precise machining results. Perform detailed measurements and inspections using calibrated tools and precision instruments, monitor and adjust machining processes for optimal performance, and collaborate with team members to address technical challenges and maintain efficient production workflows.
Turbine Engine Component Repair – Perform repairman duties to accomplish repairs to engine components and accessories including drilling, faster removal, blending, installation of inserts, and silicon repairs.
Understanding and ability to follow work instructions.
Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.
HS Diploma or GED equivalent
This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
