Job summary

Magna International's Kamtek facility is seeking a Cradle Repair Welder to produce high-quality welded components safely and efficiently. You will uphold safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while working with a skilled team.

You will use MIG welding equipment and basic tools, document data in CMS systems, and participate in cross-shift communication to meet production goals and Kamtek standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred.
  • Prior welding experience preferred.
  • Experience with MIG welding equipment and basic tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding repairs and complete existing welds using approved welding techniques.
  • Visually inspect welds for fusion, porosity, location, size, burn-through, notching, and undercut.
  • Maintain product quality to ensure finished parts meet or exceed Kamtek standards.
  • Perform required quality checks using QID, QIF, FO/LO processes, and quality alerts.
  • Accurately document production and inventory data using CMS systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support departments across all shifts.
  • Participate in team, department, and plant-wide meetings as required.

The Cradle Repair Welder is responsible for producing high-quality welded components safely, efficiently, and on time. This role supports Kamtek's commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while upholding the Magna Employee's Charter and plant standards.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform welding repairs and complete existing welds using approved welding techniques

Education & Qualifications

  • Robot fundamentals and workstation panel basics
