Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Repair Welder for 1st and 2nd shifts in Alabama. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and reworking welded metal components to meet quality standards in a climate-controlled facility that can get hot in summer.

You must be able to work two Saturdays per month and pass an in-person welding skills test. Responsibilities include performing repair welding, inspecting welds, following safety procedures, and maintaining a clean work area in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Previous welding experience required.
• Experience with repair welding, rework, or production welding preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be willing to work at least two Saturdays per month.
• Successful completion of an in-person welding skills test is required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair welding on metal components and assemblies.
• Inspect welds and identify areas requiring repair or rework.
• Use welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Follow production, quality, and safety procedures.
• Complete repairs accurately while maintaining production standards.
• Perform visual inspections of completed welds.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Follow all required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
