Full Service Chimney™ offers a Registered Apprenticeship for Fireplace and Chimney Repair Technicians, with a pathway to Journeyman-level leadership within 18–24 months. Through paid on-the-job training, you will build skills in this specialized trade, take on a greater role, and work toward becoming a future team leader who helps train incoming apprentices.
Do you have an interest in leading people and taking initiative? If you want a career where effort turns into trust, and trust turns into leadership over time, this may be the right fit. We are hiring intentionally for long-term growth, not short-term turnover, because consistency and commitment truly matter here. We are a tight-knit group that makes big things happen daily. We hold ourselves accountable and expect the same from all members of our team.
As a Repair Technician Apprentice, you’ll begin as an assistant. This is a physically active, hands-on role in a specialized skilled construction trade for people who want more than routine work and know they do not belong at a desk. You can build valuable skills and earn trust through hard work, accountability, and a willingness to learn. The apprenticeship is not just training for one job—it is the foundation for a long-term career path that can lead to multiple future roles as our company grows and new positions are created.
People have taken advantage of the opportunities available at Full Service Chimney to grow their skills, responsibilities, and earning potential. One team member increased their hourly rate by 28.5% over their starting pay in just 7 months through continued development and advancement within the company. Individual growth and pay progression will vary, but this is one real example of where opportunity, performance, and commitment can lead.
I joined Full Service Chimney in November 2025, and I can honestly say it has already given me more opportunity than I’ve found anywhere else. Before coming here, I was making only $16 an hour and working seven 12-hour shifts a week. After my first raise in January, another at my 90-day mark on February 16, and another after earning my certification, I’m now a Certified Lead Repair Technician with the opportunity to earn lead pay and additional compensation beyond my regular pay. In December, I was taking home $1,800 per paycheck, and by August that had grown to $2,200 per paycheck. I also now have dental, eye, and health insurance for myself and am getting ready to add my family to the coverage as well; plus I get weekends off. I feel like I’m just getting started here, and Full Service Chimney feels like a place with real opportunity for growth, advancement, and a better future.
Once invited to join, apprentices receive paid, on-the-job training and related technical instruction, preparing them for certification and advancement into repair crew leadership roles. Our Registered Apprenticeship Program is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals. You’ll start with paid, hands-on training to build your skills and confidence in the trade.
Eligible apprentices may be able to utilize their GI Bill® educational benefits, subject to approval and eligibility requirements set by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
