Job description

FII USA, Inc, a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Repair Technician to research component datasheets when necessary to distinguish operational characteristics and functional Inputs/Outputs. Once part of the team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the department in an [office/production] environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.


The Repair Technician will use complex equipment for troubleshooting and repair duties, including a 3DX-Ray system, Solder Pot, and Rework Station, and assist the department as needed.


Job Responsibilities:
  1. Troubleshoot and repair failures; diagnose root cause and recommend corrective action.
  2. Monitor and maintain testing station performance.
  3. Research component datasheets when necessary to distinguish operational characteristics and functional Inputs/Outputs.
  4. Ensure Repair Technicians follow standard testing processes.
  5. Conduct manual soldering; Thru-Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGA.
  6. Use complex equipment for troubleshooting and repair duties, including a 3DX-Ray system, Solder Pot, and Rework Station.
  7. Train Repair Technicians and Test Technicians on new and existing testing procedures and troubleshooting.
  8. Guide Repair Technicians on soldering techniques used during repairs.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 2-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is highly desired.
  • Strong understanding of printed circuit board testing procedures.
  • Experience reading prints, schematics, and manufacturing documents.
  • Experience in testing.
  • Prior experience with IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711.
  • Knowledge in Electrical Engineering with specialization in PCB technologies and components.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S standards is desirable.
  • Understanding of QMS and ISO-9001 standards.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Effective communication with peers and management.
  • Knowledge of soldering technologies and standards (IPC-A-610/J-STD-001).
  • Expert manual soldering skills: Thru-Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGA.
  • Proficiency with electronic testing equipment (DVM, Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, etc.).
