Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking a hands-on Repair Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a range of electronic devices and computer hardware, ensuring optimal functionality for customers.

You will perform in-depth diagnostics, replace components, handle software troubleshooting, and document all activities in the company tracking system; safety, teamwork, and continuous learning are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, computer repair, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in electronic device repair, computer hardware troubleshooting, or a similar technical role.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing PC hardware components and software issues.
• Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux and common applications.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent manual dexterity and experience using hand tools for intricate repairs.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• A+ certification or equivalent industry certifications are a plus.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on malfunctioning electronics, desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals.
• Execute repairs, replacements, and upgrades of motherboard, memory, drives, power supplies, and other parts.
• Conduct software troubleshooting, OS reinstallation, driver updates, and data recovery.
