Job summary

Hyve Solutions is seeking a hands-on Electronics Repair Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a range of desktop, laptop, and server hardware. You will follow manuals, use diagnostic tools, and document repair steps to ensure quality and traceability.

Responsibilities include in-depth diagnostics, component replacements, software troubleshooting, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace while collaborating with the team to improve repair efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in electronic device repair or similar technical role.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing PC hardware components and software issues.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning electronic equipment to identify root causes.
• Repair, replace, and upgrade hardware components (motherboards, memory, drives, PSUs).
• Perform software troubleshooting, OS reinstalls, driver updates, and data recovery as needed.
• Use schematics and manuals to pinpoint problems and document results.
• Document parts used, repair steps, and test results in the tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following ESD procedures.
• Collaborate with team to improve repair processes and efficiency.
• Communicate repair status and technical details clearly to teammates.

Job Summary

You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electronic devices and computer hardware to ensure optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on malfunctioning electronic equipment, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals, to identify root causes of issues.
• Execute repairs, replacements, and upgrades of hardware components such as motherboards, memory, hard drives, power supplies, and other internal/external parts.
• Conduct software troubleshooting, reinstallation of operating systems, driver updates, and data recovery as needed.
• Utilize schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools to accurately pinpoint and resolve technical problems.
• Document all repair activities, parts used, and test results thoroughly and accurately in the company's tracking system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize repair processes and improve efficiency.
• Provide clear and concise communication regarding repair status and technical details.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies, products, and repair techniques.
• Perform quality control checks on repaired items to ensure they meet performance standards before release.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics, computer repair, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in electronic device repair, computer hardware troubleshooting, or a similar technical role.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing PC hardware components and software issues.
• Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux) and common applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent manual dexterity and experience using hand tools for intricate repairs.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A+ certification or equivalent industry certifications are a plus.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally.
