Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of related technical experience and/or training for mechanical and/or electrical equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and maintain organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct the repair process to achieve repair quality standards, consistent priorities, and high productivity.
• Oversee the scheduling of truck rebuilds.
• Advise mechanics on rebuild/repair procedures and proper maintenance methods.
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and repair of equipment using mechanical and electrical procedures.
• Read and use mechanical/electrical schematics to complete repairs.
• Maintain employee performance reviews and merit increases.
• Enforce company policies and implement progressive discipline.
• Set short- and long-term goals to ensure shop success.
• Monitor and control labor, parts, paint, materials, and sublet costs.
• Develop action plans to improve business performance and quality standards.
• Facilitate training opportunities and on-the-job skills enhancement.
• Inspect rebuilt products for quality prior to delivery.
• Handle management requests promptly.
