Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture in Illinois is seeking a motivated Repair Technician to open, inspect, and rewrap products for special inspections on the Shipping dock. You will repair pieces brought from Returns or the DC, and determine final disposition of damaged items.

Key duties include repairing upholstery and case goods, inspecting for defects, coordinating with Shipping to replace damaged goods, reporting QC issues, and restoring packaging to manufacturing specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Repair Experience.
• Solid knowledge and competence on: Case Goods repair, Upholstery repair, Ability to identify product.
• Good verbal and listening skills.
• Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve.
• Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
• Ability to work overtime (extended hours and/or additional days).

Repair Technician

At Bob's Discount Furniture, we have fun, we love what we do and it shows in our expansive growth! Bob's Discount Furniture is currently looking for a high energy Repair Technician

The primary function of a Repair Technician is to open, inspect, deluxe, and rewrap product for special inspections on the Shipping dock. Repair Technician repair any pieces brought from the Shipping department that were found to be damaged during the loading process. Repair Technician is stationed at the Repair Shop to open and inspect all product brought to this area from Returns or within the DC. Repair Technician will determine the final disposition of these pieces.

• Work with Shipping Personnel to replace damaged goods

This work schedule conisist of Sundandy through Thursday.
