Job summary

SkyBlue Pool Care in Los Angeles is seeking a Pool Repair Manager to own the repair process from flag to finish. This full-time role covers West/Central LA & San Fernando Valley, with 8am–5pm hours and a pay range of $75,000–$105,000+ including bonuses/sales commissions.

You’ll diagnose issues, communicate clearly with homeowners, quote and perform repairs, and mentor others while building repair standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on pool repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to explain problems clearly to homeowners.
• Comfortable selling repairs and equipment upgrades with trusted recommendations.
• Organized with accurate quotes and reliable follow-ups.
• Willing to build repair processes and pricing standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the full repair process from issue flagged to completed repair.
• Diagnose equipment and system problems across pumps, filters, heaters, automation, plumbing, salt/chlorine, electrical components.
• Explain issues and required fixes clearly to homeowners.
• Sell repairs and upgrades with trustworthy recommendations.
• Create accurate, professional quotes and manage work orders in Pool Brain.
• Perform repairs and supervise subcontractors when workload is heavy.
• Provide technical guidance to service team and help build best practices.

Pool Repair Manager (Full-Time) | West/Central LA & San Fernando Valley

Pay: $75,000 - $105,000+ including bonuses/sales commissions

SkyBlue Pool Care is a fast‑growing pool service company serving homeowners across the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. We manage hundreds of pools, and that brings a consistent workload of repairs.

The Role

This isn’t a ticket‑in, ticket‑out repair job. As our Pool Repair Manager, you are the business unit’s repair expert. You’ll own the repair process from the moment an issue is flagged through the diagnostic visit, the customer conversation, the quote, and the fix. You’ll also help us build the systems, standards, and team that make repairs a major part of our business.

What You’ll Own

• The full repair process, from issue flagged to diagnostic visit to completed repair


• Diagnosing equipment and system problems: pumps, filters, heaters, automation, plumbing, salt/chlorine systems, leak detection, electrical components, and more


• Explaining what’s wrong, and what it will take to fix it, clearly and confidently to homeowners


• Selling repairs and equipment upgrades honestly, with recommendations customers trust


• Building and sending accurate, professional quotes


• Performing the repairs yourself


• Directing and advising other repair subcontractors when workload gets heavy


• Visiting customers when something goes wrong and standing behind our work and processes, for example when a homeowner has concerns a few months into service or after a new startup


• Supporting our service team with technical guidance


• Helping us build repair processes, pricing standards, and best practices


• Documenting everything in Pool Brain: work orders, notes, quotes, and follow‑ups

Who You Are

• 8+ years of hands‑on pool repair experience (required)


• Strong diagnostic skills and the confidence to explain problems in plain English


• A natural communicator who can calm down an upset customer and earn trust


• Comfortable selling. You see it as helping customers make good decisions, not pushing products.


• Organized and detail‑oriented, with quotes that are accurate and follow‑ups that don’t slip


• Comfortable using software. Experience with Pool Brain is a big plus, but we’ll train the right person.


• Someone who wants to build something, not just clock in

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of pool repair experience


• Reliable truck for daily work (company truck can be provided for the right candidate)


• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record


• Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather


• C‑53 license preferred, not required


• Must be able to commute to the San Fernando Valley / West and Central LA
