Job summary

FLC Contracting, LLC is a dynamic commercial and industrial contractor seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Repairs specialist in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform framing, drywall, painting, and light carpentry on various commercial projects.

Candidates should be able to work evenings or weekends as needed, maintain safety standards, and travel overnight when required. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with general framing using wood and metal studs.
• Able to hang, tape, and finish drywall for patches and remodels.
• Replace/repair ceiling tiles and grid systems as needed.
• Interior painting with a high-quality finish.
• Basic carpentry for fixtures and finishes.
• Install door frames and hardware; adjust as needed.
• Perform minor facility repairs and hot patches.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/drug checks.
• Willingness to travel overnight as projects require.

Key Responsibilities - Hands-On Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general framing using both wood and metal studs for repairs and small build-outs.
• Hang, tape, and finish drywall for patchwork, repairs, and minor remodel projects.
• Replace and repair ceiling tile and grid systems as needed.
• Complete interior painting, including walls, doors, frames, and trim with a high-quality finish.
• Execute basic carpentry tasks such as installing blocking and backing for fixtures and finishes.
• Set door frames, hang doors, and install or adjust door hardware.
• Perform minor facility repairs and hot patches to maintain finished spaces.
• Assist with cabinet removal and replacement when required (experience preferred but not required).

Work Requirements

• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends based on project needs.
• Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies on job sites.
• Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel overnight periodically as projects require.
