Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of aero engine engineering experience (8+ years for senior)
• Hands-on knowledge of CFM56 or comparable turbofan hardware
• Familiarity with FAA and EASA repair approval routes (PMA and DER)
• Strong technical writing skills
• Experience serving as a DER or leading a DER repair approval
• Repair process knowledge: welding, brazing, thermal spray and coatings, machining or additive manufacturing
• Industrial gas turbine or power generation experience
• Working knowledge of engine and component maintenance manuals and repairable limits

Aufgaben

• Define repair schemes for CFM56 hardware and acceptance criteria
• Build substantiation package: stress, thermal and life analysis, materials and process justification, test plans and supporting data
• Coordinate approvals with DER and design approval organization
• Own the qualification path from concept through first article to production release
• Review unserviceable material and assess repair viability
• Act as technical contact with repair vendors and joint-development partners
• Deploy approved repairs into shops and support first production runs
• Provide inputs on expected yield, cost, cycle time and service life
• Prepare and present technical and project status updates to leadership
