Job description

Per Sé Group is currently seeking a highly skilled repair and customer support technician on behalf of our client, a distinguished leader in the aerospace, automotive, mold, and die industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, troubleshooting, modification, and testing of Nutrunner & Servo Press products. Our client emphasizes continuous training and development, providing technicians with opportunities to enhance their skills and stay current with industry advancements. They pride themselves on exceptional customer retention rates, reflecting their commitment to outstanding service and long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose technical problems with products, perform repairs, and calibrate mainly at our shop floor.
  2. Travel to customer locations to diagnose complex technical issues and perform on-site repairs.
  3. Travel to customer sites to install products.
  4. Examine tools mechanically and electrically to perform repairs by dismantling and rebuilding as needed.
  5. Diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot via telephone communication.
  6. Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
  7. Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
  8. Document product problems and resolutions in detail.

Preferred Skills and Expertise

  • Associates or technical degree preferred.
  • Experience in field service within the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience with electrical measurement and calibration techniques (e.g., voltmeter, calibrating equipment).
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems (servo motors, bearings, gearing, ball screws, moving systems).
  • General understanding of PLCs and pneumatics preferred but not required.
  • Experience in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (indicators, micrometers, calipers).
  • Knowledge of fastening and assembly processes.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools.
  • Proficiency in operating Windows-based computers.
  • Comfort working with abrasive chemicals for cleaning parts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work comfortably at heights.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project locations, including overnight stays.
