Job summary

Auction.com in Irvine, CA is hiring a Transaction Operations Manager to oversee the entire REO lifecycle and ensure timely closings by coordinating with clients, agents, title and escrow companies.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and requires strong leadership, data analysis, and strategic planning to drive profitability and efficiency in a fast-paced distressed real estate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in business, real estate, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of real estate closing, title, and mortgage experience.
• Proven experience in managing the REO process.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and implement corrective strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of mortgage industry, real estate closing, title policies, title resolution, and foreclosures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the entire life cycle of the REO process, ensuring efficient and timely closings.
• Act as a central liaison between direct reports and third-party vendors/clients; communicate with clients, agents, title and escrow companies.
• Proactively identify adverse trends within the REO process and implement steps to improve closing timelines.
• Assist in strategic planning initiatives to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
• Run reports to monitor the effectiveness of contracted relationships and asset management guidelines.
• Ensure staff performance aligns with department goals and budgeted targets; provide feedback to senior management.
• Facilitate training and development programs for staff.
• Create, maintain, and analyze data to identify negative trends and implement corrective measures.
• Undertake special projects to enhance operational efficiency.
