Chet’s Rent-All, a family-owned equipment and tool rental company serving the greater Detroit area since 1946, seeks a dependable Rental Yard Associate. You will load/unload equipment, ensure items are clean and safe, and assist customers and staff.

Your role includes safety checks, routine maintenance, and accurate equipment staging to support timely pickups and returns. You will work outdoors in varied weather, operate yard equipment, and uphold high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate or learn forklifts and yard equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather.
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for loading and unloading for customers, drivers, and haulers.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain safe operating procedures.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment for safety and condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and workspaces.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage or maintenance needs.
• Complete inspection checklists and report issues to Store Manager.
• Secure equipment to prevent hazards or unauthorized use.
• Perform other duties as needed and assist team members.
