Job summary

Chet’s Rent-All in the Detroit area is seeking a dependable Rental Yard Associate to support efficient rental operations. You will load and unload equipment, ensure assets are clean and inspected, and assist customers and team members. Safety and readiness are essential to drive customer satisfaction and smooth operations.

The role involves routine maintenance, equipment inspection, and accurate staging, with opportunities for on-the-job training and advancement within a family-owned company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other yard equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety commitment.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Comfort working outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for loading and unloading customers, drivers, and haulers.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Explain safe operating procedures to customers and provide excellent service.
• Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is safe and functional.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized yard and storage areas.
• Clean and maintain equipment appearance.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage or maintenance needs.
• Complete inspection checklists and report issues to Store Manager.
• Secure equipment to prevent accidents or unauthorized use.
• Perform other duties and assist team members as needed.
• Fill propane tanks.
