Job summary

White Cap is seeking a Rental Yard Associate to join our on-site team in Indianapolis. You will help prepare, inspect, and stage rental equipment for delivery while maintaining a clean, safe yard environment.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and are comfortable working outdoors. We offer comprehensive benefits, time off, and opportunities for career growth within a trusted marketplace.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment.
• Ability to stand for periods of time up to 60+ minutes.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remove dirt, concrete, or debris from rental equipment and area using hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure all rental equipment is in good, usable condition before dispatch.
• Inspect equipment for damage and report per procedure.
• Oil and lubricate tools, equipment, and tilt-up braces as specified.
• Prepare and stage rental orders for delivery.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.

A Rental Yard Associate at White Cap…

• Removes dirt, concrete, or other debris from rental equipment and area using provided hand tools and cleaning equipment.




• Ensures all rental equipment is in good, useable condition before it goes out to the customer.




• Inspects all rental equipment for damage. Reports any damage according to established procedure.




• Oils and lubricates all tools, equipment and tilt-up braces according to specifications.




• Prepares and stages rental orders to go out for delivery.




• Follows company safety policy and procedures.




• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.




• Performs other duties as assigned.




• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to Work Outdoors




• Ability to Heavy Lift Up to 75 pounds




• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.




• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.




• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety .




• Knowledge of Machines and Hand & Power tools




• Bilingual-Spanish is a plus
