Job summary

Christy Sports in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Rental Supervisor to manage the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department. You’ll supervise staff, train team members, and control inventory while delivering best-in-class guest service under the Store Manager.

This role requires a strong skiing or snowboarding background, prior rental leadership, and a capable, customer-focused approach. Expect a flexible schedule with nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Ski/snowboard background required for the role.
• Previous leadership in ski/snowboard rental operations is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to multi-task and work a flexible schedule.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership and example.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and industry trends to guests.
• Train staff on binding DIN settings and safety practices.
• Train staff on proper boot fitting procedures.
• Maintain accurate pricing, including promotions.
• Keep store clean and well organized at all times.
• Assist the store manager with payroll budgeting.
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and staff development.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets using loss prevention techniques.
• Prepare and distribute required documentation.
• Open and close the store when the manager is absent.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Summary Description: Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Ski / Snowboard Rental Department including staff supervision, training and inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability while providing the best-in-class guest service.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Run):

• Maintain the high-standard for guest service through personal behavior and leadership
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with proper binding DIN setting practices
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with regard to proper boot fitting
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including any promotions
• Maintain store cleanliness standards
• Assist the store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget
• Assist store manager in hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff
• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Prepare, distribute and maintain company-required documentation
• Open and close store as required in absence of manager
• Other duties as may be assigned

What Makes You a Fit:

• Strong ski and/or snowboard background
• Prior leadership experience in ski / snowboard rental operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task
• Experienced with POS systems preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds

$19.50-$21.00/hour + Commission. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
