Job summary

Christy Sports in Avon, IL, is seeking a Duty/Store Supervisor for the Ski Snowboard Rental Department. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, train, manage inventory, and drive profitability while delivering best-in-class guest service.

You should have a strong ski/snowboard background, prior leadership in rental operations, and a high school diploma. This role requires flexibility, the ability to multi-task, and comfort with POS systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Strong ski/snowboard background and leadership in rental operations.
• Ability to train staff and maintain inventory controls.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage Ski Snowboard Rental Department with staff supervision.
• Train staff on equipment fitting, DIN settings and POS usage.
• Control pricing, inventory and payroll related tasks.
• Open/close store as needed and ensure guest service excellence.
• Support store manager with policy implementation and asset protection.

Internal & External Summary Description

Reporting to the Store Manager this position is responsible for the management of the Ski Snowboard Rental Department including staff supervision training and inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability while providing the best in class guest service

What Youll Be Doing

• Maintain the high standard for guest service through personal behavior and leadership
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with proper binding DIN setting practices
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with regard to proper boot fitting
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current including any promotions
• Maintain store cleanliness standards
• Assist the store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget
• Assist store manager in hiring training coaching leading and maintaining a high quality staff
• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Prepare distribute and maintain company required documentation
• Open and close store as required in absence of manager
• Other duties as may be assigned

What Makes You a Fit

• Strong ski andor snowboard background
• Prior leadership experience in ski snowboard rental operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be self motivated and have the ability to multi task
• Experienced with POS systems preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds
