Job summary

Peterson Cat in Clackamas, OR is seeking a Rental Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations of the CRS location, ensuring service delivery and regulatory compliance.

You will manage store personnel, optimize inventory, coordinate safety programs, and build strong vendor and customer relationships.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 7+ years in equipment rental, and 2+ years leading teams; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the equipment rental industry
• Two (2)+ years of experience directing, coordinating, reviewing, and/or monitoring the work of others
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure maximum service delivery,technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company standards
• Maintain relationships with local vendors to receive best value for Peterson
• Write rental agreements, check customer credit and insurance, communicate equipment availability, dispatch drivers, and coordinate transportation of equipment
• Maintain a record of unfilled rental requests in the CRM/rental software and enter customer activity in the CRM
• Coordinate inventory across branches and manage fuel expenses against sales of fuel types
• Ensure safety programs, attend safety meetings, and maintain emergency action plans with trained staff
• Travel up to 10% to visit customers, develop territory, and attend meetings
