Job summary

Ossian Hardware in Bluffton, IN, is seeking a Rental/Service Manager to oversee the daily operation of our Bluffton Rentco location. You will insure scheduled maintenance, evaluate and repair small engines, outdoor power equipment and rental gear, and assist customers in a polite and friendly manner.

Responsibilities include explaining rental terms, scheduling equipment, demonstrating safety features, coordinating with team, and maintaining accurate invoices and contracts using a POS system.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work Saturdays and include hours as needed.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer-based concepts quickly.
• Experience handling multiple tasks in a busy rental environment.
• Valid driving record with some delivery/pick-up duties.
• Knowledge of rental equipment operations, safety features and capabilities.
• Ability to perform light tune-ups, oil changes and small parts replacement.

Job Description:

This position is for a Rental/Service Manager. Responsibilities include insuring scheduled maintenance, along with evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment and rental equipment. Assisting customers in a polite and friendly manner.

Preparing rental forms from a POS and explaining and scheduling rental equipment and rental fees to the customer. Demonstrating operation and safety features to the customer on all equipment rented, communicate the status of repairs to employees and store managers to ensure great customer service.

This person will operate out of our Bluffton Rentco located in Bluffton IN.

In addition to supporting customer needs, they are responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance and cleanliness of the equipment and rental shop. All invoicing, rentals, maintenance scheduling in POS/computer based so computer skills are necessary.
