McKie Ford in Sioux Falls is seeking a Rental Sales Associate to deliver strong customer service and drive rental bookings. You’ll listen to customers, propose add-ons, and manage the rental journey from start to finish with empathy and professionalism.

The role emphasizes communication, flexibility, and a willingness to learn, with full training provided and opportunities to earn commissions based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions.
• Effective verbal communication with customers, co-workers and management.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills (typing, data entry).
• Professionalism and positive customer interaction.
• Ability to apply proven sales techniques in a fast-paced environment.
• 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.

What you’ll do:

• Effectively listen and identify customer needs to communicate and offer additional products and services to enhance the customer’s travel experience
• Guide customers through the rental process using empathy, empowerment and problem-solving skills to provide a memorable experience to delight the customer
• Assist customers with vehicle exchanges, returns, future reservations and any concerns they may have

What we’re looking for:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid Driver’s License (without major driving infractions)
• Effective verbal communication skills with customers, co-workers and management
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Basic computer skills (typing, data entry)
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm and outstanding communication skills with customers, co-workers and management
• Ability to use proven sales techniques while providing a positive customer experience in a fast-paced environment
