Jim Burke Ford Lincoln is seeking a Rental Porter in Bakersfield, CA to move, clean, and detail rental vehicles and assist with fleet upkeep. You will drive vehicles as needed, maintain a clean rental area, and deliver world-class service with a professional appearance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions. Prior detailing experience is a plus; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Job Description

The Rental Porter moves and cleans vehicles, keeps rental areas clean, details vehicles after each rental (including fleet vehicles), checks and adds fluids to vehicles as required, drives vehicles to and from dealer service areas when required, and delivers vehicles to customers as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, detailing experience, a general mechanical aptitude, an unrestricted driver's license, and a clean driving record. Candidates must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions and work productively in a team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps maintain rental vehicle appearance and safety standards and ensures the rental department runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
• Washes and conditions vehicle exterior, including tires, wheels, carpet cleaning
• Cleans and conditions vehicle interior, including vacuuming, shampooing, applying fabric/leather treatments, and polishing
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation
• Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
• Follows all rental policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
• Performs other duties as assigned

Rental Porter The Rental Porters hours will be full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
