Paylocity is seeking a Service Porter to join our dealership team in California. You will move and clean vehicles, keep lots organized, and assist the service director as needed, reporting directly to the Service Director.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to drive a manual transmission. Multitasking, reliability, and customer focus are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license for 3+ years and eligible for dealership insurance.
• Ability to drive a standard vehicle, preferred but not required.
• Previous dealership experience preferred.
• Bilingual, preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on customer service.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including background checks and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service vehicle inventory appearance by cleaning exteriors.
• Place service tags on vehicles and keep lots neat.
• Move vehicles as directed by the service director and standards.
• Sweep and clean work areas and remove debris.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lanes and parking areas.

In this position you would be responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles; keeping the vehicles in sound working condition; and helping the service director as requested. You will report directly to the Service Director.

Essential Duties, but not limited to:

• Maintains service vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning exterior of vehicles.


• Places service tags in vehicles.


• Keeps vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the service director and according to dealership display standards.


• Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas.


• Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.


• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
