Summary: The Rental Technician is responsible for overseeing all rental assets, including Certified and Traditional equipment, at the local branch. This includes inspection, scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repair of rental fleet assets, ensuring high standards of quality and competency. The primary focus is the rental fleet.

Job Duties: Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the technician will:

1. Inspect incoming rental machines for needed repairs or maintenance and document findings.
2. Maintain records of repairs, parts, and supplies.
3. Complete and submit inspection and repair documentation promptly.
4. Communicate daily with the Service Manager regarding repair and maintenance issues.
5. Maintain shop tools and work area.
6. Diagnose, service, and repair rental machines within the required time frame, requesting additional help if necessary.
7. Comply with all safety and security requirements.
8. Apply troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
9. Analyze equipment operation and functions.
10. Attend relevant training sessions.
11. Plan ahead for upcoming repairs and maintenance.
12. Pre-order necessary materials for upcoming services.
13. Perform repairs and return machines to the yard promptly.
14. Report machine status changes immediately.
15. Test machines after repairs for proper operation.

Qualifications:
