Job summary

Midwestern Wheels, Inc. is seeking a Rental Lot Operations Associate in Madison, WI. You will work outdoors across airport rental lots, keeping vehicles clean, organized, and ready for customers, while updating status on a handheld device and assisting with pickups and returns.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and comfort with mobile tech. On-site shifts, weekend availability, and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Inventory — Track and record vehicle status using a mobile handheld device.
• Customer Support — Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service.
• Vehicle Check-In/Out — Record mileage, fuel, and vehicle condition; enter information into our system accurately.
• Vehicle Inspection — Review vehicles for body damage, mileage, and fuel level
• Lot Organization — Ensure vehicles are clean, available, and positioned correctly for rental.
• Vehicle Movement — Drive and reposition a variety of vehicles as needed.
• Detailing Vehicles — Assist with detailing vehicles as needed.

Do you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and helping customers have a smooth, positive experience? Join our team at the Madison Airport and play a key role in keeping our rental operation running efficiently!

As a Rental Lot Operations Associate, you’ll work outdoors across our airport rental lots to ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and ready for customers. You’ll use a handheld mobile device to update vehicle status, assist customers during pickup and return, and help coordinate vehicle movement to support a fast-paced operation.

Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inventory — Track and record vehicle status using a mobile handheld device.
• Customer Support — Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional service.
• Vehicle Check-In/Out — Record mileage, fuel levels, and vehicle condition; enter information into our system accurately.
• Vehicle Inspection - Review vehicles for body damage, mileage, and fuel level
• Lot Organization — Ensure vehicles are clean, available, and positioned correctly for rental.
• Vehicle Movement — Drive and reposition a variety of vehicles as needed.
• Detailing Vehicles - Assist with detailing vehicles as needed.

• Must be 18+, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and hold a valid driver’s license
• On-site role only (not remote)

Compensation & Benefits:

• $18-20 per hour, with weekend hours paid at an additional shift differential of $2 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license for at least two years with good driving record.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Basic computer skills (typing, data entry)
