Job summary

Bramco Group is seeking a Rental Foreman at our Indianapolis branch to oversee all rental assets, including Certified and Traditional fleets. You will inspect, service, maintain, and repair fleet assets to high standards, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations.

You will lead technicians, coordinate repairs, manage inventories, and prepare repair estimates while maintaining accurate records and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment shop/field or rental.
• Very strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and other web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Daily creation of work for rental technicians including acquiring and organizing job preparation technical information.
• Prioritize and ensure quick, efficient turnaround.
• Manage and maintain an accurate machine status.
• Schedule and supervise all aspects of equipment repair in rental to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain a daily updated schedule.
• Ensure all jobs are performed on time and cost effectively.
• Communicate daily progress and any issues with management.
• Enter and track data and reporting in the NDS System.
• Maintain a safe, clean shop environment and care of tooling.
• Keep records for time, parts, supplies, etc.

Summary

The position of Rental Foreman is responsible for the oversight of all company rental assets. Both Certified and Traditional that flow through their local branch. This responsibility includes the effective inspection, scheduled servicing, maintaining and repair of rental fleet assets at a high level of competency and quality. The Rental Fleet is the primary and priority concern of this individual.

Basic Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Daily creation of work for rental technicians including acquiring and organizing job preparation technical information.
• Prioritize and insure that a quick efficient turnaround is priority.
• Manage and maintain an accurate machine status.
• Schedule and supervise all aspects of equipment repair in the rental department and prioritize repairs to maximize efficiency to meet the needs of the customers.
• Maintain a schedule that is updated daily.
• Ensure all jobs are performed on time and cost effective.
• Communicate daily progress and any developing issues with management.
• Enter and track various data and reporting mechanisms in the NDS System.
• Maintain a safe and clean shop environment, and care of company tooling.
• Maintain good records for time, parts, supplies, etc for repairs and maintenance.
• In a timely fashion, complete and submit all inspections or other paperwork to proper individuals for processing.
• Plan in advance for upcoming repairs and maintenance.
• Pre-order materials such as filters, fluids, and maintenance for known upcoming services or repairs.
• Report any machine status changes to the proper individuals immediately.
• Capable of creating and presenting a repair estimate or quote for rental or customer damage repairs.
• Responsible for rental shop and facility grounds organization and cleanliness.
• Prioritize the work flow and equipment across the wash rack.
• Load and unload equipment, inspect, photograph and document any repair work that might be evident.
• Maintain inventory and ongoing documentation of rental equipment.
• Responsible for staging equipment, could include changing attachments as needed.
• Must be accessible by phone after normal business hours and on weekends.
• Ensure safety is a focus among the rental department and employees.
• Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, some college coursework preferred
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Heavy equipment shop/field or rental experience is preferred
• Very strong attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills including experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and other web- based applications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screen.
