Job description

Location: Sevierville, Stowers Machinery, 1825 Veterans Blvd, Sevierville, TN 37862, USA

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license. One to two years of experience is normally required. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to pass background checks, physical exams, and drug screening tests.

Responsibilities:
  1. Follows directions accurately and performs tasks in an efficient time while working with no direct supervision.
  2. Work performed is mistake and error-free.
  3. Accepts responsibility for own work and understands the impact of this work on the company.
  4. Capable of inspecting machines and determining parts reusability and developing parts and material lists as needed with no direct supervision.
  5. Shows interest in own work.
  6. Has knowledge of test equipment and procedures and is capable of making repair decisions and setting up jobs with no direct supervision.
  7. Follows all DOT laws and exhibits safe driving practices while driving company vehicles.
  8. Prepared to purchase hand tools as required to perform the job.
  9. Properly safeguards all tools. Keeps an updated itemized record of employee-owned tools on file which includes pictures and cost of tools and toolbox.
  10. Completes service reports at the completion of each job and ensures accuracy of reports with no direct supervision.
  11. Completes job time cards completely and accurately as jobs are finished daily.
  12. Orders all parts and charges time to the proper work order and segments.
  13. Writes and communicates clearly and accurately.
  14. Orders parts accurately with no direct supervision to minimize parts returns.
  15. Handles all parts returns and core credits in accordance with company policies.
Safety:
  • Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
  • Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

  • Respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous, timely, and responsive manner.
  • Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professionalism.
  • Keep the Manager continually apprised to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to work well under occasional pressure or within work standards and deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or with others in a team environment.
  • Able to work a standard five-day schedule, including daily overtime and occasional weekend hours as needed.
  • Meet all eligibility requirements to drive Company vehicles, including a current, valid driver’s license issued by the resident State.
Physical Requirements:
  • Pass a pre-employment background check, physical exam including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
  • Able to lift 20-70 pounds occasionally and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
