Rental Field Service Technician

We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for new hires. The bonus is paid in two installments: $2,500 after 90 days of employment and $2,500 after 180 days.

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Rental Field Service Technician in Baltimore, Maryland. The technician applies advanced mechanical skills to perform maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar and allied rental equipment both in the shop and at customer sites. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, determining repair procedures, and preparing parts requisitions.

Qualifications include a minimum of three years of experience in advanced mechanical service and repairs of Caterpillar and related equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Requirements

1. Thorough knowledge of engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components for troubleshooting and analysis.

Physical Requirements

Compensation and Benefits

Starting Range: $28.11 - $39.45 per hour
