Job summary

Peterson Power Systems, Inc. in Eugene, OR is seeking a Rental Commercial Engine Shop Technician. You will service, maintain, and repair rental fleet generators, air compressors, and related equipment in a shop environment, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications include an Associate degree in Diesel Technology and at least 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination. A valid driver's license is required and overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Diesel Technology or related field.
• Two years of directly related experience in commercial engine service or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on rental equipment to keep it rental-ready.
• Conduct safety inspections and adhere to ANSI/OSHA standards.
• Process work orders accurately and communicate daily shop operations to the team.
• Load/unload equipment, assist customers, and demonstrate equipment operation.
• Coordinate with Parts Warehouse for warranty processing and damage assessments.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with company safety guidelines.
• Attend scheduled training and ensure company vehicle (if applicable) is maintained.
