Job summary

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Rental Diesel Technician to work on a variety of Ziegler owned rental equipment at our St. Cloud location. Hours are Mon-Fri, 10am - 6:30pm.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment and documenting work orders to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a technical diesel background, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Starting wage and benefits are provided in the description.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of diesel engine/equipment repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, driveline, electrical/electronics, diesel exhaust systems and fuel systems.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and team members.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and use online diagnostics.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Commitment to a safe, clean work environment and ability to pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment including skid steers, compact wheel loaders, mini excavators, aerial lifts, tele-handlers and other light/medium construction equipment.
• Document work orders promptly and completely to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work safely at all times, following company policies and standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians on troubleshooting and repairs.
• Engage in ongoing training to improve mechanical skills and product knowledge.
