Job Description Summary

The Morris Arboretum & Gardens, which hosts over 100 rental events each year, is seeking a part-time (18 hours per week) Rental Coordinator to assist with all aspects of the Rental Program, including communication, client touring, event prep/support, and administrative tasks.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • In a customer-focused way, handle client and vendor-related support, trouble-shooting, and communications (via email, phone, and in person).

  • Provide rental tours of the Arboretum and respond to inquiries from potential clients.

  • Handle administrative tasks related to the Rental Program.

  • Between April and October, assist with on-site event activities, including vendor coordination, golf cart driving and on-site event supervision.

Qualified candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma and 0-1 years' experience, required.

  • Outgoing, customer-centered demeanor.

  • Experience in a comparable, customer-focused role.

  • Experience problem-solving and thinking on their feet in fast-paced situations.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage substantial information.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Ability to convey information in a clear, concise manner.

  • Ability to walk for long periods of time, in all types of weather.

  • A valid driver’s license.

  • Experience working on a computer, particularly with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).

This is a part-time (18 hour/week), year-round position that requires regular weekday, weekend, and evening work.
