Job summary

Vail Resorts in Bartlett, NH is hiring a Rental Associate for winter seasonal roles. You will provide top-tier guest service, help guests pick and fit rental equipment, and explain equipment operation and safety.

The role may include cashiering and additional retail tasks, with shifts that include nights, holidays and weekends. The position offers full participation in a team environment with training, discounts, and potential housing availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest service or retail is preferred.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at a ski shop.
• Fit guests with equipment and provide training.
• Explain equipment operation and safety, rental terms.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain safety standards.
• Possibly perform cashiering and retail tasks.

Rental associates are responsible for generating sales through world-class guest service, assisting customers with rental equipment and providing our guests with gear and services for the ultimate outdoor experience.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available
• Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service at one of our retail shops
• Fit guests with equipment - we'll train you!
• Explain to guests how to operate rental equipment, safety practices, and guest responsibility for the equipment during the rental including length of rental and return options
• Work together with teammates to maintain safety standard
• May include other duties such as cashiering, retail sales
• Other duties as assigned

A Rental Associate team member is a flexible employee who often works across multiple departments and in various roles to support the one resort mentality which could include one of the following:

• Mountain Activities
• Retail Rental operations
• Food and Beverage Support
• Ticket sales or scanning
• Lift Operations
• Base Area Operations

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
