Job summary

Burlington Housing Authority in Burlington, VT seeks a Rental Assistance Programs Manager to oversee daily operations of multifamily, tax credit, HOME, and HCV-related programs, including special programs. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance, and coordinate with owners, auditors, and partners to support affordable housing access.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant experience in affordable housing, rental assistance, property management, or government programs.
• Ability to interpret and apply program requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to work effectively with staff, participants, landlords, auditors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day administration and coordination of assigned rental assistance programs.
• Oversees workflow, workload distribution, deadlines, and priorities within programs.
• Ensures activities comply with regulations, policies, and Authority requirements.
• Reviews processes and recommends operational improvements to RA Director.
• Provides training and guidance to staff on program procedures and customer service.
• Provides oversight for PBRA, Tax Credit, HOME, and related activities; coordinates with stakeholders.
