Job summary

Burlington Housing Authority seeks an on-site Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance across our properties in Burlington, VT. The role includes handling building systems, fixtures, and grounds, with on-call duties for emergencies. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in general building maintenance or trades.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, grounds keeping, and snow removal.
• Must be able to perform painting and janitorial work and minor electrical/plumbing repairs.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in various environments.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance on BHA properties including exteriors, common areas, apartments, building systems, fixtures, and grounds.
• Maintain fixtures and grounds and support residents and staff.
• Participate in on-call rotation for night and weekend emergencies (current rotation every 6–7 weeks).
